Doncaster Mind offers a variety of services to the local community, both from our centre on Netherhall Road and a second premises in Mexborough.

We are a local mental health organisation, affiliated to National Mind, with the following aims and objectives:

AIMS OF DONCASTER MIND

  • To provide support and services to people vulnerable to, or experiencing mental health problems or emotional distress.
  • To raise awareness of, and provide information about, mental health issues.
  • To raise awareness of, and actively challenge, the stigma and discrimination experienced by people with mental health problems.
  • To campaign for improved mental health services.

The services we offer have been designed to be both stimulating and constructive, with the hope of not just supporting people who have, or are recovering from a mental illness, but also with the goal of moving clients forward, and helping them re-engage with their community.

"........Without the help that Mind has provided over the years I can't even say I would still be here....."

".....The people in the day centre are always so nice, and always there when I need them......"

"......I always look forward to seeing my Befriender, she is such a friendly person - over this last year I'm not sure what I would have done without her."

"...I really enjoy the college groups Mind offers, they help keep me busy and stop me dwelling so much on my problems."
