A blended approach to mental health support
Peer Support in Wellbeing
The main aspect of all our Guided Learning and Groups comes down to Peer Support.
Peer support has always been a massive part of what we do, showing you that you are not alone in your struggles with mental health whilst being able to empathise and be each others cheerleader when we're on the road to recovery!
Over the past 18 months, we've seen people access the Wellbeing Service by telephone and online and we don't want to take that away now that we can see each other face to face.
We have seen how it works.
An example of a week of Peer Support in Wellbeing@DM.
We have a mixture of groups taking place. Some outdoors, some in our building, some in the community, some online and for some - it's both. We recognise that some people aren't quite ready to leave the house yet, and we don't want that to stop you looking after your mental health.
To access the groups both face to face and online contact us via our website www.doncastermind.org.uk/refer or call on 01302 812190 and leave us a message.
