Local Minds Week 2026
What is Local Minds week?
Local Mind’s week is a celebration of the collection of Local Minds that work independently under the national Mind umbrella. This week celebrates how each Local Mind tailors and shapes their services specifically to the needs and demands of their local community.
About YOUR Local Mind
Here at Doncaster Mind, we're based in the heart of Doncaster town centre in two locations - one at Market Place and one at Cavendish Court. We've been supporting the Doncaster community with a variety of mental health support services for over 47 years.
Our services include:
- Counselling - for adults aged 18+
- Mentoring - for adults and children aged 11+
- Settle - for Doncaster residents who speak English as a second language
- Wellbeing - for adults aged 18+
- Personal development courses - for adults aged 18+
- HIU service - support for people who frequently find themselves in emergency services
- Mental Health Community Connectors - familiar faces and support in all four Doncaster localities
As a Local Mind each of our services reflects and meet the needs of the community we work within, so each service we provide is tailored to you the people of Doncaster.
Early Support
This year we are taking every opportunity to protect early support in Doncaster. We have seen more and more people wait until their struggles become unmanageable or unbearable before reaching out for support.
Therefore, we have created Before Things Break, a campaign that focuses on protecting early support and encouraging others to reach out for support earlier before everything gets too much.
To find out more or to support our campaign check out our before things break page here.
