Volunteering

Welcome to our Volunteer page. This is where you can find out about getting involved with the work we do at Doncaster Mind. Volunteers engage in a variety of roles throughout the organisation, from mentoring, counselling, befriending, fundraising, administration and peer support.

Volunteers are a valued part of our team and we work hard to ensure that our volunteers have a rewarding experience. As a volunteer, you will receive a full induction, training and ongoing support. The structure of this induction depends on what department you would like to volunteer for. Over the past 12 months, many of our volunteers have joined the team as paid members of staff. Volunteering with Doncaster Mind can prove to be an excellent way of gaining experience of working in mental health

Volunteering Opportunities

Please note that we only accept applications for current positions advertised. General applications will not be considered. All prospective volunteers are asked to complete an application form. If your application is shortlisted you will be invited to attend a volunteer interview for us to find out a bit more about you and for you to find out a bit more about Doncaster Mind. We generally ask for a minimum six-month commitment from all volunteers except for fundraising volunteers where there is no minimum commitment.

New opportunities come up regularly, so if the volunteer roles which are currently advertised are not suitable do keep checking the website for a role to suit your skills and interests.
