Do you love creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, share and grow?
Are you passionate about nature, wellbeing and supporting people whose first language isn’t English?
We are looking for several freelance facilitators to join our Settle team to deliver inspiring weekly peer support groups. These groups bring together people from diverse cultural backgrounds to connect through nature-based activities or language and wellbeing sessions.
Each session helps participants:
· Practise and build confidence in English
· Improve their wellbeing through creative and restorative activities
· Experience the healing power of nature
· Make friends and feel part of a supportive community
We are looking for committed, creative and empathetic facilitators who can bring ideas, energy and compassion to each session. Facilitators will work on a rotating basis to design and deliver group sessions, supported by our team.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
· Have experience of leading group sessions or workshops (any setting considered)
· Are passionate about mental health, wellbeing and inclusion
· Understand the challenges faced by people adapting to life in a new country
· Can adapt activities to be accessible, creative and engaging for people with different language levels
· Are self-motivated and reliable, with good organisational skills
Desirable experience:
· Working with refugees, asylum seekers, or migrants
· Knowledge of nature-based wellbeing approaches
· Experience of designing creative group activities
These are freelance, sessional roles working under an agreed service level agreement (SLA), paid at £20 per hour. Our regular groups are delivered at our office at Market Place or at our outdoor space in DN4.
If you’re passionate about people, nature and creating community, we’d love to hear from you.
