for talking therapies for under 18's please see our services for children & young people
What are talking therapies?
Talking to a therapist helps you to make sense of emotional distress and resolve complicated feelings or find ways to live with them. It can also help you to recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think and act and find ways to change them.
We offer in person, telephone and online therapy sessions. During therapy sessions, the therapist will listen to you without judging you and help you find your own way through your challenges. The therapy space is a safe space for you to talk, cry, shout or think and is a place where you can look at your problems in different ways with someone who respects you.

Life events (present, past and future), relationship problems, difficult feelings like anger and low self-esteem and long term health conditions can all lead to challenges to our mental wellness. Talking therapy for individuals means just you and your therapist are working together. Sessions last for 50 minutes and are usually weekly on the same day at the same time for up to 8 weeks.
