6Mental Health Champions Club

Supporting others starts with being supported.

At Doncaster Mind, we know that people who look out for others at work also need space, guidance and encouragement themselves. That’s exactly why we created the Mental Health Champions Club – a welcoming, supportive community for Mental Health Champions from local organisations.

The MHCC is our way of helping you feel more confident, connected and well-equipped in your role, so you can support your colleagues in ways that are practical, compassionate and sustainable. Because when it comes to mental health in the workplace, we truly are in this together.

Our training doesn’t stop at delivery. When your organisation procures mental health training with Doncaster Mind, you’re invited to continue the journey through our MHCC– a supportive community offering ongoing connection, learning and guidance long after the training ends.

Our ambition is simple but powerful:
to lead the way in promoting good mental health at work – one organisation at a time!

MHCC session photoThe MHCC supports both personal growth and organisational wellbeing. Through shared learning and honest conversations, our members explore what works, reflect on what doesn’t, and exchange ideas for creating workplaces where mental health and wellbeing are genuinely supported.

What you’ll gain by joining the MHCC?

  • Free quarterly networking events that create space to connect, learn from one another and share best practice.
  • Access to free, bite-sized training sessions, delivered by Doncaster Mind, offering practical tools, fresh ideas and confidence in your role.
  • A safe space to talk through challenges, supported by the Doncaster Mind team – people who don’t just talk the talk, but walk the walk, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in mental health.

MHCC April 2022

Our very first session took place in January 2023, and since then the MHCC has gone from strength to strength. Each session brings thoughtful discussion, shared experiences, learning and practical takeaways – alongside reassurance that you’re not alone in the challenges you face.

More recently, we’ve trialled moving the MHCC online to reduce travel pressures and improve accessibility. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. Even without sharing the same physical space, the sessions have remained meaningful, supportive and rich in insight – with thoughtful discussion, shared learning and even a little gentle movement and stretching together.

Save the date!

Our next event will take place on Friday, 6th of March 2026.

If you’re passionate about supporting mental health at work, want to build your confidence as a Mental Health Champion, and would value ongoing connection, training and support – we’d love you to join us. Just fill in the form below and we will be in contact.

If you’d like to chat or have any questions before signing up, please don’t hesitate to get in touch: training@doncastermind.org.uk.

We’d love to welcome you into the community.
