Mental Health Awareness Week 2025
12th - 18th May 2025
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week, we're launching a community-wide campaign to celebrate the power of connection and to highlight the vital link between community and mental wellbeing.
At the heart of this year’s message is a simple but powerful truth: community matters. Whether through shared interests, geographic location, or values, being part of a community enhances mental health by providing support, reducing isolation, and increasing resilience.
The power of Community
Community is more than just a shared space — it’s a lifeline. A strong sense of belonging contributes to better mood, improved self-esteem, and greater resilience. Research shows that being part of a community can significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of loneliness.
Get involved! Together, we can make a difference
For individuals:
- Smile and say hello: Small gestures build big connections.
- Be kind: Acts of kindness boost self-esteem and build community.
- Spread the word: Let others know that Doncaster Mind is here to help.

- Volunteer: Share your time and passion — be part of something meaningful.
For local organisations & companies:
- Adopt Doncaster Mind as your Charity of the Year
